If the marriage has ended before three years has passed, or if a formal marriage has been made other than for the purpose of establishing a family union, these work permits will lose their validity. If the marriage of foreigners with a Turkish citizen has ended at the end of three years, the work permits obtained by the foreigners can continue on the condition that they are legally present in Turkey. However, the final decision on this issue is made by the Ministry of Labor.
